Skiing and snowboarding serviced by 8 lifts. The Boomerang premiered winter 2005, opening up double-black diamonds on the backside of the mountain (not for the faint of heart or legs...). There's 2 high-speed lifts, 1 quad, 1 triple chair, 1 beginner chair, 1 rope-tow, and 1 platter lift. These lifts service an array of over 50 runs from absolute beginner to straight-down black diamonds. This mountain is perfect for ripping up the powder on your board in the morning, and working your legs on the skis in the afternoon. Rentals and lessons are available on site and there's night skiing/riding on Thursday,Friday, & Saturdays. The O-Zone Tubing offers 3 downhill runs serviced by 1 lift. There's usually a bonfire to warm up your hands and fresh hot chocolate in the snack hut nearby. Raven Lodge is home to the mountain's first luge slope. They offer lessons and rentals for both kids and adults. Raven Lodge is also the spot to rent cross-country equipment and purchase your ticket for the endless miles of groomed track. They also have snowshoe rentals and marked trails for snowshoeing. Trust me it's not as easy as it looks!! You basically have to walk like you've been riding a horse for the past week... The last but one of the more popular activities during the winter on Mt. Washington is lounging in Fat Teddy's lounge. They have great food (my favorite is the chicken and pork souvlaki or the Won Ton Soup), greater drinks, big screen TVs, and a pool table.
Mini golf, you whack a little white ball through a variety of small holes and obstacles. Luckily this activity is located nearby Fat Teddy's for rest breaks. Disc golf consists of walking up the mountain throwing a Frisbee-like object into baskets along the way. Much like playing golf uphill, requires frequent breaks as well. Recommend a backpack with refreshments for this one. Horseback riding. The scenery is phenomenal. Mountain ranges, glaciers, ocean views, and the gentle clip-clop of the horses hooves along the trails. These animals are well-trained and beautiful Mountain biking. We're following the example led by Whistler. There's something for everyone. Trails that you can ride a tricycle down, yet there's trails that I can't imagine walking down let alone riding. There's a high-speed play park and an technical park. You can rent state-of-the-art bikes right beside Fat Teddy's. Imagine that ... Bungee trampoline. The name says it all. You can be the gymnast of your dreams. Flip to your hearts content while gazing upon Mt. Albert Edward and the Sunshine Coast. Another popular activity during the summer is lounging in Fat Teddy's lounge. They have great food, greater drinks (this sounds familiar.. .)
