Rental Policy

As you start into this information, please keep in mind that until a payment is made, there is no guaranteed reservation.  A deposit equal to 50% of the stay is required, or $200, whichever is less, to confirm your reservation.  Reservations will be held on a first-paid system.  In other words, just making the booking is not enough, if someone else wants that timeframe and sends in a deposit before I receive yours, they will have precedence. We recommend using a credit card to hold the booking until the paperwork can be received. 

You may pay by money order, email transfer, cash, Visa, Mastercard or by cheque.  Your reservation will be confirmed when the cheque clears the bank or the deposit is run against the card.  There are no associated taxes. 

 

The balance of the fee is due 30 days prior to check-in. (45 days for Xmas or Spring Break period).  I recommend sending a post-dated cheque with your reservation deposit to save on postage fees.

 

A refundable Security Deposit of $200.00 is also required prior to check-in.  Preferably by credit card, however alternate arrangements can be made. This Deposit will be held against loss or damage during your stay and may be held against cleaning or late check out charges after you leave, if such is required. (A list of cleaning tasks will be provided inside the unit)  

 

(An administration charge of $50 will be levied on NSF cheques)


Cancellation policy

Policy in effect year-round regardless of weather conditions. Guests are financially responsible for the specific time they have reserved and paid for.  Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance will result in all monies paid being refunded less a $25 cancellation fee.  Less than 30 days notice the guest forfeits their entire payment (with the exception of damage deposits).  We will attempt to rebook the date and if successful will refund all monies minus a $50 rebooking fee.

Conditions

  • This suite is not to be rented to persons under 25 years of age. 
  • If the keys are not returned you will be subject to a locksmith bill.
  • Any complaints from other tenants (noise, inappropriate behavior) of Paradise Ridge will result in your immediate end of tenancy and no refund of monies paid as well as possible by-law levies.
  • This suite is a non-smoking suite.  Smoking is allowed on the balcony and outside the building.  Extra cleaning charges will apply if there is smoke odor on the furniture.
  • There are no pets allowed in this suite and if any pets are discovered in the unit, you will be subject to a minimum cleaning fee of $250 (cost of cleaning the carpets & upholstery). As well pets in the suites without the owner of the suite present is a violation of our strata By-Laws and there is a $200 fine for that infraction. So please ask your visitors to leave their pets in their car!
  • The unit is to be cleaned before leaving (including linens and dishes) unless prior arrangements with a cleaning service have been made.
